The pub is affectionately known as The Cover. Different generations have gathered here for a pint and a blether for over 200 years.
Bring the family, your friends, and the dog.
Come in for a coffee, a drink or a bite to eat. Watch the sport, play pool, or just watch the dolphins from the window. Whatever the reason you come in, it is always nice to see you.
When you are resting your legs on the dog walk, treat your pooch to some water and a dog treat. It keeps them happy, and it is a great way to get to know folk.
What is on, and when.
The pub menu is served midday to two and five to eight, Monday to Saturday, and midday to eight straight through on a Sunday. Light bites and the kids menu are available all day, Monday to Sunday, so there is always something for a child or a walker between the main services. Food in the restaurant is served in those service hours only.
Sky Sports and TNT Sports are on for the big fixtures, and the pool table is at the back. Live bands and singers play on selected Fridays from eight until eleven, and when there is a gig we usually put a room offer alongside it so nobody has to drive home. The dates are on the what's on page.
Dogs are welcome in the bar. There are treats behind the bar, a bowl of water, and a dog menu on the pub menu: two pork sausages for £2, and a pint of water for free.
